TEACHING TIPS & RESOURCES

Pickleball as Professional Development

The sport of pickleball seems to be everywhere in the last few years (though not in this summer's Paris Olympics). A recent Edutopia article by an experienced teacher describes how the process of learning a new sport has made her a better teacher. Things like the process of developing from a beginner to an experienced player, receiving feedback from a coach, and finding enjoyment and newness in an activity have all been an opportunity to reflect on her own teaching. Coaching is available for staff at all levels of experience. If you are interested, please contact the Professional Development System.
