On March 13, the s anctuary of Christ Lutheran Church was filled with an array of colors.  It was Blessing of the Quilts.  These quilts were all cut, pieced, tacked and sewed by members of Christ Lutheran Church.  A total of 77 quil ts, along with 38 school kits and 133 bars of soap, were later packed, box ed and shipped to Lutheran World Relief.  Lutheran World Relief will then send our quilts all over the world.
Did you know these works of your hands can be:
  • A cozy, clean new bed cover
  • A baby carrier, tied around a mother's back
  • A market display, spread on the ground and piled with vegetables
  • A sack for transporting those goods to market
  • A sunshade
  • A shawl
  • And most importantly - a constant reminder that someone, far away, cares a lot.
God's Work. Our Hands.

Canned & non-perishable food donations received in March will be donated to Faith Mission. The Food Table is located in the narthex.

day schoo letterhead
This month finds me thankful for the ownership that the members of Christ Lutheran take of the Day School.  Our recent work day was well attended by the Men in Mission group and other members.  Many honey-do jobs were taken care of thanks to Stephen Johnson's careful planning.  It was just what we needed to head into spring on the right foot!  A few Day School parents joined us on the playground and, for a small band ofplayground warriors, got so much accomplished.  The children are enjoying their new sand digging area and the outdoor classroom is rockin' with a fairy garden and a spring sensory table.  Veggies have been planted in the garden and the toddlers have loved walking through the pool noodle forest on their playground.  A special "thanks" to Jodie Vaughn for building a perfectly sized and weather proof podium for our Garden Chapel.  Church is back in session!

In Christ, Ginny Gaskamp
