APRIL NEWSLETTER

Christ Lutheran Member,
By now, you've likely received a 'Pledge Card' along with a letter from our   Stewardship Team.  After prayerfully considering your 2017 financial                 commitment to God, your church and its ministries, please complete the card and seal it in the envelope provided.
Please bring your commitment on Palm Sunday, April 9th and place it in the basket to be brought to the Altar for Consecration.
Be assured that your commitment is confidential and will not
be publicized in any way.  Your commitment will only be seen by our Financial Secretary to be included in your Statement of Giving, so you may   measure your progress throughout the year. DAY SCHOOL NEWS

We recently celebrated our love for books and reading by hosting our annual Scholastic Book Fair! The camping themed Family Night found us
day schoo letterhead
singing campfire songs to guitar music and enjoying yummy things like s'mores trail mix, pigs in a blanket and "rainbow trout" crackers! We hope kids and parents are inspired to "read s'more books" together!!!

Our seed sale this  year included a variety of plants that children sprouted from seeds in their classrooms. The
Pre-K children manned the sales table, taking money, making change, and telling shoppers about their work. They saved and packaged zinnia and marigold seeds from our garden and sprouted, tomato, beans, okra, basil, and peppers to sell. Proceeds will be used to purchase items for the garden and outdoor classroom! We are thankful to have Master Gardener, Paula Johnson, work with our children each week on gardening and cooking projects.

Thank you to everyone who bought drive-thru dinner tickets or came out to help. Our CLASS organization can fu nd many aweso me projects through their fundraisers!

Our staff is hard at work preparing for our ELEA Accreditation validation visit in May. This comes around every seven years, and after many months of hard work, we are ready to have yet another certification under our belts! I love it that our staff, board, and congregation supports us so wholeheartedly as we reach to always offer the very best we can for the children of our community. Continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers!

CLASS will hold a work day on April 1st, starting at 8:00am. Please come if you are able to help in any way with projects on the playgrounds, light yard work, or even cleaning indoors!

Blessings to all!
