  • Spring into action with our April Step Challenge! With warmer weather on the way, it’s the perfect time to get moving and track your steps. Whether you're walking in the fitness center, at home, or outside, every step counts. The participant with the most total steps at the end of the challenge will win!
  • Complete the registration form by April 7th to secure your spot in the challenge. Once you're registered, you'll receive instructions on how to start tracking your progress.

April is National Stress Awareness Month, making it a great time to recognize the impact stress has on our overall health. The American Psychological Association’s most recent Stress in America survey found record high levels of stress among Americans of all ages. George Slavich, PhD, director of the UCLA laboratory for stress assessment and research, discusses how stress affects our brain, body, and immune system; why it’s important to measure a person’s lifetime exposure to stress; and strategies to manage stress and minimize its negative effects on your health.

Your voice matters! Fitness at SPS Tower is relaunching our Wellness Committee, and we are looking for passionate individuals to be a part of it. Meetings will be held in-person during the first week of every month (day and time TBD, snacks provided).


What You'll Do:

  • Provide direct feedback on fitness center facilities, programs, and services.
  • Share ideas to enhance wellness offerings and introduce new initiatives.
  • Collaborate on meaningful changes that align with the needs of the SPS Tower community.
  • Play a key role in promoting and supporting wellness programs within the building.

Stress is an unavoidable part of life, but how we manage it makes all the difference. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, take a deep breath and remember: you are not alone. 


This month, let’s focus on simple ways to reduce stress and bring more peace into our daily lives:
