New Council Website

Calcasieubsa.org now has a new look and new features!  Thank you to all the volunteers, parents, and scouts  for your feedback on what you wanted to see in our new website.

New Features:
  • More online registration for events
  • Online Calendar (through 2018 will be posted by the end of the month)
  • Login for enhanced unit and individual registration features
  • Quick access for recording service hours & internet advancement
We will be sending all registered families (youth) and leaders an email with personalized login information.  Several units have errors that have prevented their recharter from posting.  These errors include an adult(s) missing Youth Protection Training, missing signatures, and funds needed.  Once a unit has their problem(s) resolved - that unit can be added to the system.

A training session on how to use the unit registration features will be held on Thursday, April 27th at 6:30pm at the Scout Office.

NYLT is an exciting, action-packed program designed for councils to provide youth members with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home troops and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others.

The NYLT course centers around the concepts of what a leader must BE, what he must KNOW, and what he must DO. The key elements are then taught with a clear focus on HOW TO. The skills come alive during the week as the patrol goes on a Quest for the Meaning of Leadership.

What's The Date? - NYLT consists of 2 week-ends, both of which are required for completion.

Order of the Arrow
2017 Calendar

For over 100 years, the Order of the Arrow (OA) has recognized Scouts and Scouters who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives.  This recognition provides encouragement for others to live these ideals as well.  Arrowmen are known for maintaining camping traditions and spirit, promoting year-round and long term resident camping, and providing cheerful service to others.  OA service, activities, adventures, and training for youth and adults are models of quality leadership development and programming that enrich and help to extend Scouting to America's youth.
