Join Us at Spring VegFest on June 7
Presented by Feel Bar
| | The excitement is building for another outstanding VegFest at Eastern Market in Detroit! We have some exciting new vendors, as well as all your old favorites. Some vendors will be passing out delicious food samples of their new products. Learn about plant-based cooking by watching one of our presentations and cooking demos by Kisa the Veganizer, Kameal from Veganly Essential, and Cooking with Que. See the schedule and list of vendors here. | | | | Please support our Title Sponsor, Feel Bar. They help make VegFest possible, and Feel Bar is a Michigan-based small business that uses high-quality, plant-based ingredients. Shop their website today. | | VegMichigan Membership Drive | | |
We thank the 18 members who renewed or joined last month. We are still 83 members short of our goal of 400 members this year. Please support our work if you are able, and now is a great time to join, as your member support will be doubled thanks to a generous matching donation from Ramesh and Maya Dedhia!
Our programs spread awareness about the benefits of eating more plant-based meals and reducing the consumption of animal products. Take a look at our event calendar to see all the great programs we offer. Read the testimonial from a recent event below.
Thanks so much for your terrific presentation today- it was very well done and just the right level of info...I am going to use the challenge to try to reduce my dairy consumption and see if [I] can get my family members (who eat a lot more dairy than I) to do the same.

Her focus is on simple innovation using ingredients already purchased and minor adaptations to existing choices. She loves exploring how offering plant-based dishes can be business smart in addition to contributing to our planetary health, personal vigor, and animal wellbeing. She also arranges plant-based dinner parties both in homes and in larger settings. | | As a volunteer, Terri has been involved with VegMichigan since 2024, beginning with coordinating plant-based food tastings for the Crossroads Sierra Club’s Earth Day celebrations. In addition to the Sierra Club, Terri is also an active member of the Huron River Watershed Council and works with her local lake association in the Pinckney area. | | Enter This Month's Raffle

Good luck! | | VegMichigan Sponsors Lunch at MSU Conference | | | | MSU recently hosted its annual philosophy conference, and this year's theme was focused on the environment. VegMichigan donated $500 to provide a plant-based lunch to all attendees. We also gave a talk before lunch, sharing the environmental benefits of plant-based meals. Everyone enjoyed the food, and we received great feedback from our talk. We want to give a huge shoutout to the organizers for hosting a wonderful event! | | VegMichigan hosted a fun pizza social at the Canton Public Library, where approximately 60 people attended and enjoyed plant-based options from Toarmina's Pizza. Most of the attendees we surveyed said that they were unaware that Toarmina's had plant-based options, and that they would purchase those options in the future. We're happy to share that we reached an audience that was largely new to plant-based eating. The majority of people surveyed had never eaten plant-based pizza before, and everyone polled enjoyed the food! | | | Many thanks to the Canton Public Library and Toarmina's Canton for sponsoring the event. Also, a huge thank you to the attendees and VegMichigan followers who generously supported the event. | | Plant-Based News Headlines
