With all the uncertainty over the past few weeks, one thing is for certain as we adjust to our "new normal"- our schools and community have shown great resolve and unity in this unprecedented time and the human spirit is certainly burning bright!
From our amazing CNS team preparing over 6,000 meals per day for "grab and go" service, to district office and school staff handing out Chromebooks, to elementary staff neighborhood caravan
parades
, to teachers quickly pivoting to distance learning, to our custodial staff working hard to sanitize our schools, and so much more...San Marcos Unified School District has come together to show that our students are priority #1!
The City of San Marcos has been phenomenal in their communication and support of its residents. We have highlighted below a message from San Marcos City Mayor Rebecca Jones, as well as some important initiatives in place to look after businesses and residents most adversely affected by Covid 19.
The San Marcos Promise wants our students to know we're still here for them and focused on their futures. While we're unable to connect in person and provide programs at the school sites, we're remaining true to our mission to
provide programs, resources, and opportunities that guide students on their educational journey beyond high school and into the workforce.
We're excited to begin our virtual workshops on April 1st, where we'll feature a different topic each week on "Must Know Mondays," "Workforce Wednesdays," and "Finance Fridays."
It's challenging times like these that are opportunities to bring us closer together as a community and galvanize our commitment to our building dreams, pathways, and prosperity in any climate.
