Reaching Our World For Christ
From Your Associational Mission Strategist
Spring has sprung! I love this season of the year as the flowers and trees are blooming as if they are coming back to life again. I particularly love this time of the year, because as believers we celebrate the resurrection of our Savior which was life’s greatest comeback. I am thankful everyday that we serve a risen Savior and that we have the privilege of sharing the good news that Jesus is alive and He is our only Hope! I am trusting that each of you are sharing with others the greatest news that people will ever hear. I pray that many people in our communities will respond to the Gospel by placing their faith and trust in Christ!
This time of year also means that we are gearing up for our summer ministries. We are moving forward with plans to have our camps this summer and all our camps will be day camps. There will be a lot more information coming out about our camps, but if you have any children and youth that you would like to register, you can find the application for all of our camps on our website at www.houstonbaptist.org. We will be needing several camp missionaries to serve at all our day camps. We need adults as well as teenagers that are in High School to assist this summer. The application for camp missionaries can also be found on our website. Please begin to pray for our camps that God will move in a mighty way and that many will give their lives to Christ.
I would like to share with you that in April our ministry teams and association leadership will begin strategy planning meetings to put into place another three-year strategy. I am introducing some exciting plans to move our association into the future so that we can continue to be relevant as churches to reach as many people as possible with the Gospel. Please pray for us as we seek God as we desire to be a stronger association that will make an impact for the Kingdom! We will reveal the strategy at our Annual meeting in September.
I appreciate all our Pastors and churches and I pray that we will be known as a network of churches that love our communities and God will use us to fulfill the Great Commission and Acts 1:8 mandate!
