News and Events for Larchmont Residents
Village Notes
Congratulations to the Original Science Research students at Mamaroneck High School. The Village Board honored their achievements this past Monday!
Earth Day: Earth Day is coming! Come celebrate with some wonderful organizations in our community who are working to make a difference in taking care of our village, our earth, and each other. On Saturday April 23rd, 1 - 4 pm (rain date April 24th) the Larchmont Environmental Committee is hosting a Celebration at Constitution Park, showcasing the work of Sheldrake, the Marine Education Center, Save the Sound, Victory Gardens, L-M Pollinator Pathway, Healthy Yards, Me-Cycle and many more. There will be activities for kids and opportunities to learn about and sign up for future volunteer events. Nissan of New Rochelle will showcase the all-electric LEAF and answer any questions. Music will be provided by the Larchmont Music Academy jazz ensemble.

Lot 3 (Upper Parking Lot at the Train Station): The Down to Earth Farmer's Market is held every Saturday in Lot 3, so if you park your car in Lot 3 on Saturday or overnight Friday into Saturday, please park at the far end by the elevator to avoid being ticketed or towed.

Electric Powered Leaf Blower Grace Period: In response to recent conversations among community stakeholders including residents and landscaping service providers, the Larchmont Board of Trustees has unanimously approved a grace period that allows for the use of Electric Powered Leaf Blowers in the Village as early as March 15, 2022. Use of electric blowers will be permitted, in compliance with all other existing regulations (Section 180 of the Village Code), through April 30, 2022.
Volunteers Needed!

The Village is looking for volunteers for the following Committees and Commissions:

Parks and Trees Committee: The Parks and Trees Committee serves in an advisory capacity with respect to parks and the planting of trees within the Village. The Committee members help identify locations in the Village where trees should be planted, assist in the selection and purchasing of those trees, and advise on many matters pertaining to Village parks such as reviewing and approving proposed renovations.

Village Recreation Committee: This Committee helps plan and execute many of the recreational events in the Village, including Halloween Window Painting and Sprint to Flint.

If you are interested in volunteering, please email [email protected]
