"School is expensive, no matter how you slice it." College is one of the biggest decisions that student and family will ever make. And for many, it's one of the most expensive investments. Don't assume that college is out of reach because you just don't have enough saved. Even if you have a 529 plan or enough savings to draw from, merit and financial aid are important pieces of the equation.
