Hello Midway Art,

Next Meeting

Wednesday, April 16th, 6:00 pm

Candace Rideout

at the MAA Studio in Midway Town Hall

Candace Rideout, an accomplished Utah artist, has over 40 years experience. She graduated from the University of Utah with a double major in Drawing and Painting and also a BFA in Secondary Education. After teaching for only one year at Butler Jr. High she was recruited as the artist for the State Board of Education. When she married and started a family Candace continued her art as she ran her own advertising agency. When the children got older she also worked for O.C. Tanner, sold real estate, designed stain glass windows, designed and sold jewelry and created patterns for needlework as well as did book illustrations for Deseret Book. But all this time she continued to paint and teach painting. Candace has garnered several First Place and Best of Show awards and has enjoyed judging many of the art shows in Utah. Her paintings can be found in most of the states in the US and many locations in Europe. Candace loves the art community and painting Plein air in an impressionistic style and is excited to be one of the presenters for Midway Art Association.
