Prayer Partner Alliance
April 2018

This month, we have celebrated the  Resurrection of Jesus Ch rist. Easter is a  wonderful  reminder of eternal life that is granted to all of us who believe in Him, and new life is given to each of us with our faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. This hope that is found in the Good News of the Gospel continues to give us faith and trust Him to transform lives every day. May God grant you many blessing and quiet moments as you continue to be present to life's everyday moments, situation, and most importantly, to each other!

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support. May God richly bless you!
For HIS Glory,

Senator Benacquisto visits Protected Harbor

Protected Harbor would like to thank Senator Lizbeth Benacquisto and her legislative aids for taking time out of their busy schedule to visit the Women's Home on March 28th. Senator Benacquisto is a Republican politician who currently represents the 27th District of Florida, which includes parts of Lee County. During the visit, the ladies proudly gave Senator Benacquisto a tour of the home, as well as shared their personal bedrooms, along with some of their interests and hobbies.

The Senator left with a pair of earrings as parting gift from Kimber, who makes handmade jewelry. The Senator shared her thoughts on the importance of affordable housing and other services for individuals with developmental disabilities. We want to thank Senator Benacquisto for her dedication and hard work in improving our community.

"Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ"

Florida Gulf Coast University Hosts Annual Spring Fling Dance

The women of Protected Harbor were blessed to attend the Annual Spring Fling Dance hosted by FGCU's Ambassadors for Disability Services. The event took place at Florida Gulf Coast University and the theme was Hawaiian Luau.  In the picture above, you can see how thrilled the girls were, all dressed beautifully for the event.  They had a fabulous time making new friends, while dancing the night away. When asked about their favorite part of the evening, it was unanimous... "The dancing!!!"

The Spring Fling Dance is an unforgettable experience. It is centered on building relationships for people with special needs and realizing that we are more alike than different. This year on April 13th,  more than 50 volunteers came together to host the Spring Fling for approximately 70 honored guests.

"Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience."
Colossians 3:12

Increase Your Impact Through Monthly Giving

Did you know that a recurring gift of $100 given each month throughout the year can be more impactful than a single gift of $1,200? When you pledge to give a monthly gift, you provide Protected Harbor with an ongoing source of income that can help sustain the programming over time.

Your monthly gift of any size will help sustain the work we are doing in the lives of our residents. Whether you have a special place in your heart for the ladies' home, want to help the men grow and thrive in their new home, or have a vision for what comes next in this ministry, your gift will make a real and lasting difference.

Your generosity allows us to act on God's Will as we move forward in our work.  Please prayerfully consider making a monthly gift today!
