Vito Filippo Ragone immigrated to the U.S. from Rutigliano, Italy, in the 1960s. As an artist, he painted a mural on the roof of his porch in Syracuse, NY, to illustrate his love for both of his countries. His great-granddaughter, Rhiannon Ragone, recreated this design for the Sons and Daughters of Italy.

Laurel, MD, Lodge Supports Walk MS
|
|
March was Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Awareness month. We’d like to highlight the Antonio Gatto Lodge in Laurel, MD, for supporting their member Frank Ragone, who lives with MS.
MS affects more than 2.3 million people worldwide, with more than 1 million in the US. In Italy, more than 100 people for every 100,000 live with MS. There is no cure, and the average annual cost to treat MS in the US is more than $83,000.
Every year more than 400,000 people participate in Walk MS, at more than 500 walks at cities all across the US. In 2017, Walk MS raised more than $40 million to help people living with MS, and to fund research to find a cure. Learn more and find a walk near your city at
