Mitchell Middle School Sewing Club Sews Facemasks
Students in the Mitchell Middle School sewing club have begun making masks to deliver to hospitals. Last week, twenty students showed up to campus early in the morning to pick up sewing machines and began sewing dozens of masks from home with hopes to deliver them to various hospitals throughout the region. Highway 50 and Zinfandel Drive Interchange Improvements
Construction on Highway 50 and Zinfandel Drive Interchange Improvements is underway. The project will add an additional lane on Zinfandel Drive over Highway 50, modify the highway entrance and exit ramps, add bicycle lanes and modify traffic signals. The project is anticipated to be completed by Summer 2020, weather permitting. Folsom Boulevard Beautification and Enhancement Project
The final phase of the Folsom Boulevard Beautification and Enhancement Project is underway. This phase will provide improved aesthetics and safety features along Folsom Boulevard from Bradshaw Road to Horn Road and Kilgore Road to Sunrise Boulevard. Enhancements will include new streetlights, landscaped medians, sidewalks, drainage facilities and signal upgrades. Sunrise Boulevard Rehabilitation Project
The Rancho Cordova City Council awarded the $6 million contract for the Sunrise Boulevard Rehabilitation Project to Martin Brothers Construction to rehabilitate Sunrise Boulevard between Folsom Boulevard and White Rock Road and along Citrus Road between Sunrise Boulevard and Trade Center Drive. Improvements will include pavement rehabilitation, new streetlights, landscaped medians, sidewalk widening, bike lanes, drainage facilities and signal upgrades. Construction for this project will begin this spring and is anticipated to be completed in Fall 2020 Learn more.
