Kitsap Humane Society continues to undergo major transformation in its shelter operations and lifesaving results.  We had an amazing year in 2015, and are now looking ahead to our future - both continued improvements in our life-saving care AND our vision for a new and expanded shelter!

Pints for Pets! 

Pints for Pets is a new KHS event series that not only connects KHS with new supporters, but helps support local restaurants, breweries and bars.  We are so excited at the initial success and popularity of this event and are happy to announce that we have three upcoming Pints for Pets events:

April 21, Wobbly Hops Brewery (with El Balcon!)
May 11, Bremerton Bar and Grill
June 7, The National Tavern

Hello, my name is Helen (Intake #52978) and I’m a special kitty looking for a loving home. I have very limited hearing and eyesight so I need a patient adopter who will give me a safe home to enjoy my golden years in comfort. I absolutely adore to be touched and I love to be brushed, which is good because my beautiful coat will need regular grooming. Someone thought I was so special they even sponsored my adoption fee. Do you have room in your home and heart for a special girl like me? You can meet me and other adoptable animals at Kitsap Humane Society, open six days a week.
Barnyard Buddies

Did you know that KHS takes in more than just dogs and cats?! If you are looking for a barnyard buddy, KHS has two handsome roosters ("Fancy Pants" and "Duck"), one friendly, wethered goat ("Edwin") and a number of barn cats looking for loving barn homes! The shelter is no place for farm animals, so please help us spread the word that you can adopt (not shop!) when looking for barnyard buddies!
