WILDFLOWER SEEDS TO SHARE!

After preaching a sermon a few weeks ago about planting flowers, I shouldn't be surprised that I was "mistakenly gifted" with a 5 lb. bag of wildflower seed (the company I ordered from told me to keep them). I now have an abundance of wildflower seeds I'm happy to share! If you're interested in receiving a small bagful, please email me at: [email protected].

EASTER SERVICES

FROM THE MUSIC DIRECTOR

Hello Trinity Community,

As we welcome Spring and its signs of new life and growth, I can’t help but see the same transformations in our own faith community. Our church is alive in so many ways and it makes the experience of shared worship worth so much more! The highlight of March was a weekend that included a packed Coffee House, the first Breakfast Fellowship, a very successful fundraiser, the Adult Choir sang in the Sunday Service which also included 5 children for Trinity Tots with Sherry. We must keep casting the net and doing the good work.

For the Easter Season, we hope everyone can make it to the variety of services we are presenting for Holy Week. You don’t want to miss them!

  • Palm Sunday - April 2 - 10:00am

- Congregation Parade of Palms during Prelude

- Special Music provided by Deanna Yoder

  • Maundy Thursday - April 6 - 6:00pm

- Special Music provided by Adult Voice Choir

  • Easter Sunrise Service - April 9 - 6:30am

- Come together to sing and worship and experience the beauty of God’s Creation

- Open to everyone at Tougas Family Farm - Bring your own chair

  • Breakfast Potluck to follow at Trinity Church Fellowship Hall at 8am-9:30am.

- Please bring a dish to share.

  • Easter Sunday Worship Celebration - April 9 - 10:00am

- Enriched Worship Service featuring the Adult Hand Bell and Voice Choirs along with

uplifting hymns and responses.

Even with the busy-ness of the Easter Season, we still plan toward the future. I plan to continue the Voice Choir rehearsals after Easter on Sundays at 11:30am. The group will work to prepare one song for May and one for June. Anyone is welcome to join or just give it a try for a few weeks. Just reach out to me if you are interested! The Hand Bell Choir rehearsals will pause after Easter until further notice from Tom Danforth.

And don’t forget that April brings us five Sundays. On the 5th, we will have a Hymn Sing service. Come join us for an hour filled with your favorite hymns from the Chalice Hymnal. Be sure to submit a request for any songs you want to be included.

As always, remember that the power of the church is the people. When we come together for the purpose of God’s work, great things will happen. Music brings people together.

FROM OUR FAITH FORMATION DIRECTOR

It has been wonderful to see kids signing up for our programs! We will continue next month by sharing a children's time during our church service. It was an exciting month with and for our youth!

Our Community A.C.T.S group is hard at work! They are working on a middle school age dance with the proceeds being split between the Community ACTS group for operating funds and Safe Homes in Worcester.

Trinity Tots is off an running again for the Spring and it has been wonderful to see our littlest members in church.

ONA / SOCIAL JUSTICE TEAM

Social Justice Conversation

Members and friends of Trinity Church are invited to “ A Conversation with an Asian American” in church after worship on Sunday, June 4. We will begin with a potluck lunch I will spend 15 minutes briefly sharing my family’s history and my experiences growing up in Boston MA. I will share with you three secrets about me. During the following 45 minutes we will have an open conversation where you may ask me questions.

My wish is to promote harmony and understanding between all people. This is why I am opening up this rare opportunity for you to converse with a person of another race.

UPSTAIRS AND DOWNSTAIRS

BREAKFAST FELLOWSHIP

Saturday Breakfast Fellowship in April will be on the 15th at 8:30 AM.

As we continue our discussion on faith, I want to look at statements of faith and creeds;

Christian, Jewish, and Islamic (there doesn’t seem to be anything similar in Hinduism or

Budhism). Let’s look at the similarities and differences.

There are a number of links below to the creeds, UCC Statement of Faith, Jewish and Islamic

statements of faith, and the American Baptist Identity Statement. I know it looks like a lot of

reading; however, each one adds something different to our discussion on statements of faith.

Everyone is welcome to join us on Saturday, April 15 at 8:30 AM for breakfast, fellowship, and

discussion. For more information or to add yourself to the Saturday Breakfast Fellowship email list, please contact Tom at [email protected]
