Memorial Hospital Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with its own Board of Directors, by-laws and Articles of Incorporation. We raise support for and manage 26 funds that provide financial assistance to Memorial Health System's patients and employees.
In March, we had the following impact because of our supporters:
367 medications for cancer patients
106 medications for cardiac patients
62 medications for endocrinology patients
12 breast imaging services for women
12 orders of medical supplies for ostomy patients
5 medications for pediatric patients through Randall Speck Fund
covered cost of blood clot prevention medication for a patient
covered cost of dental work for a cancer patient
purchased lymphedema garment for a cancer patient
purchased clothes for the ER clothes closet for indigent patients
purchased ortho brace for a patient
We've also secured $2,350,478 in grant funding so far this year.
The Wiggin’ Out For Cancer Ribbon Walk is a joint fundraiser with Memorial oncology staff members and Pink Heart Funds to help cancer patients in our community. Half of the proceeds will benefit our Oncology Patient Fund which provides medication, transportation and nutritional assistance to Memorial Health System‘s cancer patients. Join us Saturday, April 29th to support those battling cancer in our community!
Burdonne Young Scholarships application is available online through the Foundation’s website. Only dependents of Memorial employees who will be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at a college or university in the fall of 2023 are eligible to apply. We will award six $1,500 scholarships. Applications must be submitted online by April 28th at noon.

We manage 26 funds that provide financial support to Memorial Health System's patients and employees. What makes us unique is that 100% of donations to the Foundation directly benefit the fund of your choosing and stay in our community. We have several donor programs for our supporters to choose from and you get to pick the fund you would like your donation to benefit.
