Teachers Are Leaning Into
At-Home Learning
Trailside third grade teachers Krista Ingle and Michelle Owen share their early successes and challenges through these initial weeks of quarantine. They are among the first teachers to ask for a PCEF Emergency Express Grant .
"Success for me during this distance learning is video chatting with my students. They carry their laptops around the house, show me their animals (real and stuffed animals), what they were eating, any projects they have worked on; they just want to connect." - Krista Ingle, Trailside Elementary 3rd Grade Teacher
Raising Money to Support Teacher and Student At-Home Learning Needs
Due to the COVID-19 health crisis, we are working hard to meet the emerging and critical needs of students and teachers, who are facing unprecedented challenges.

In order to best meet these needs, we are expanding  PCEF’s Express Grant Fund and hope to raise at least $50,000 in order to support immediate teacher and student at-home schooling needs.
In just a few days, nearly 20 grant requests came in and were approved! Let's keep it going to help teachers like Michelle and Krista.

With the loss of critical income from Running with Ed Runners, we are encouraging Parkites to become Express Grant Donors instead.
We also look to the future so that when physical school reopens, and life returns to normal, we will be ready to resume support for our regular programs that teachers and students love: Preschool, Elementary Visual Arts, Afterschool, STEM, PCCAPS, Bright Futures, and Classroom Grants.

Thank you for your support of Park City teachers and students!
COVID-19 Creates Dire Impacts for Bright Futures Students
Meet PCHS Bright Futures Junior Ashley N. Although the stress and anxiety caused by the COVID-19 crisis continues to build, Ashley is determined to stay focused on reaching her goal of becoming a First-Generation college graduate.
The COVID-19 crisis underscores the urgency for our Bright Futures students. Money allocated for college tuition is being redirected toward immediate family needs like food and shelter. Tuition assistance for first generation students is needed now more than ever to keep these young adults in school and on track toward college graduation.
