Beyond Emergency Support: Promoting Food Justice and Wellness in the Bronx

New Settlement's Community Health Initiatives food pantry is more than just a source of emergency food - it's a comprehensive program that supports better nutrition and food justice in our community. By providing nutritious food to 2,000 individuals each month across 22 Bronx zip codes, the pantry fills a crucial gap in our neighborhood. But the pantry goes beyond food distribution, connecting families to longer-term benefits and offering workshops and classes to support healthy eating habits.

In addition to the food pantry, New Settlement's Community Health Initiatives offers a range of programs that take a multidisciplinary approach to improve health and wellness in our neighborhood. From community gardens and cooking classes to health screenings and fitness programs, we're working to address the root causes of food insecurity and promote healthy lifestyles for all residents. Join us in building a healthier, more equitable community!
