RA Navigator Apprenticeship Program
offers advantages across industries
Eric Pferdekamper, NCC sales and project manager, is participating in the RA Navigator Apprenticeship Program, a registered apprenticeship under the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The program requires a demonstration of 55 competencies including employer engagement, development of apprenticeships, systems and policies. In addition, there are 135 classroom hours of technical instruction, e.g., project management, mentorship, and diversity, equity and inclusion.

At mid-point in his training, Eric provided some insights into the program’s value and his experiences to date.

“The program is not industry specific,” Eric says, “so it has the potential to create fast-track apprenticeship training for emerging sectors such as robotics and thinner labor pools to fill the immediate demand for skilled employees.”

He is gaining expertise important to NCC’s long-term apprenticeship expansion goals. Eric also is excited about the opportunities to be an advocate and to engage and direct employers in the apprenticeship process to improve productivity. “With the skills we are learning and the resources available we will be able to help companies produce affordable training programs that speak to their exact needs and timeframes,” he explains. "Also, more employees will gain industry credentials to advance their careers."
NCC Partner Companies named 2021 NTMA Safety Award winners
Congratulations to NCC Partner Companies J.V. Manufacturing Co., MetPlas and Stellar Precision Components! They are among the recently announced NTMA Safety Award winners for exceptional safety standards in 2021.
Federal Law requires companies with more than 10 employees to complete the OSHA Form 300A – Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses and post it visibly in their plant. Companies who submit this data to the NTMA are considered for the annual Safety Awards.
