Robinson Place Groundbreaking

While the wind added some challenges, it didn't deter us from executing a great groundbreaking ceremony for Robinson Place. Honoring the legacy of one of our founders, Robb Lapp, we are excited to see this project come to fruition. We had speakers from the City of Lakewood, Jefferson County, DOH, CHFA, Wells Fargo, our CEO and our founders, all lending support for the work we do and sharing on the importance of having safe and available affordable housing!

Robb Lapp, one of the founders of Archway, attended and spoke at the Robinson Place Groundbreaking in March. We are honored to name this project after him!

This month for staff development, our Supportive Services team visited the Harm Reduction Action Center. They learned about models that acknowledge the humanity in people who use drugs and how to help them do so safely.

We have completed renovations on our headquarters office in Lakewood! In addition to creating more offices for a growing team, we have increased the visibility by adding more windows and open spaces as well as replaced office furniture. We are pleased to have an office space that matches the growth of our team! More photos to come as we get settled in!

Meet Mariana Barchetti!

Family Heritage

Mariana was born and raised in Durango, Mexico. It wasn’t until she was a teenager that she moved to the states for a chance to receive an education.

“In the town I’m from there was just one elementary school,” Mariana tells me. “Once my oldest brother got to high school age he needed further schooling. He went to the US first, and then a couple of years later the rest of us joined him.”

Mariana has 4 siblings, and they all moved to Westminster, Colorado. One of her siblings, Gabby, also works with Archway as a maintenance technician at Foothills Green.

Meet Melody Longdon!

I received a message weeks ago from Mark, our Director of Property Operations, saying that during his visit to Willow Green he had met a resident, Melody, who shared an incredible story of her journey. She was grateful to be where she was in life, proud of what she had overcome, and Mark felt it was important to share and celebrate her journey with her.

I spoke with Melody ahead of this month’s newsletter and asked if she would be willing to be featured as the resident spotlight for the month of April. She was very excited and what followed was an inspiring story of strength and the power of a good community.

Move to Colorado

In 2018 Melody was married to a husband of 17 years with 4 kids in Wichita, Kansas. But tragedy struck, her mother-in-law passed. It was a big blow to her family that had been very close to her mother-in-law. In the aftermath, they decided to move out to Colorado to be closer to our remaining family.

New Team Member Spotlight

Meet Heather Rosenberg!

Heather is our new Accounting Assistant. In her role, she assists the accounting team in managing the assets of our current portfolio and new projects in the pipeline. Heather has a long career in administrative management.

Meet LJ Perceval!

LJ is a Property Manager at Cornerstone Residences. She is responsible for ensuring operations, fiscal management, compliance and lease enforcement at the community. She works closely with case managers, residents, and our services team to ensure that residents are successful in maintaining their housing. LJ has worked in multi-family property management for 13 years.

Meet Desiree Parrott-Alcorn!

Desiree is a Property Manager at Montview Manor. She is responsible for ensuring compliance with LIHTC policies, rent collection, and enforcing community policies. Desiree's educational and work experience is extensive in art and non-profit management. She has her Master's and owns her own business.

There is also a staggering amount of renters at various low-to-moderate incomes that are severely cost-burdened (spending more than 50% of their monthly income on housing costs).
