Thank you to everyone who responded, donated, or passed on the message regarding our funding issues. If you didn't see the previous email, you can read it here. We feel optimistic as we track down new opportunities but still need as much help as we can get. Please contact us with leads or forward this email to those who might be able to help.

As we try to spread the word about our program, keep an eye out for features in the Cory Merrill Neighborhood Association newsletter, the Washington Park East Neighborhood Association newsletter, Urban Life Wash Park, and the Wash Park Profile!

Bike Donation Event!

A bicycle drive benefiting HopeCycle will be held in the South High School main parking lot on April 20, 10 am - 1 pm.

HopeCycle is a non-profit that has been providing free, refurbished bicycles to South students. Students receive a bike, helmet, and lock. If you have a bicycle(s) you can donate, it would help a South High School student. Hope to see you there! Questions?

In addition to monetary donations, we welcome donations of unopened food and personal care and food drives held by offices, book clubs, neighborhoods, etc. Some of the most in-demand items we accept are:

  • cereal
  • peanut butter and jelly
  • macaroni and cheese
  • deodorant
  • body lotion
  • shampoo
  • sanitary pads

We are not accepting clothing at this time. We can receive items Thursday mornings when school is in session from 9-11:30 am in the small courtyard parking lot off of Louisiana at Williams Street. Please note we are closed April 18. If you'd like to arrange a different time, please contact us.

Thank you to I Support the Girls, who let us pick items from their warehouse last week. We got a carload of feminine hygiene products, laundry detergent sheets, makeup, and girls' underwear and bras!

Thank you to some of our wonderful partners!
