April Vacation Week Activities
Happy Spring Everyone!
 
This is our last week of story time before a two week hiatus. Regularly scheduled story times will be back on the week of April 29.

In the meantime the Children's Department has some fun activities planned for April vacation week. We hope everyone can join us for an event or two. Here's hoping for beautiful, spring weather all month!
Scavenger Hunt
Tuesday, April 16 between 2:00 and 4:00
Everyone wins a prize on this fun library scavenger hunt. All ages are welcome (younger children may need assistance) and no registration is necessary. Just stop by the children's desk anytime between 2:00 and 4:00 to pick up the directions.
YA Writing Workshop with Teen Author Hillary De Baun

Do you like to write? Then, please join us for this special writing workshop with young adult author Hillary De Baun, and learn some of the skills and techniques writers use to craft a great story. This special writing workshop is open to ages 10 and up and no registration is necessary. The workshop will feature discussion and activities focused on advancing a story's plot, creating realistic characters and places, and writing great dialogue. All attendees will receive a copy of the author's first book Starring Arabelle to have signed by the author! We hope you can join us for this very special event! Please feel free to call us if you have any questions.

Princess Story Time

Join us for this magical story time with Princesses Belle and Snow White! We'll have a special story or two, a princess ball and a fashion show. So wear your prince or princess best! This event is hosted by Sugar and Spice Princess Parties. Everyone is welcome and no registration is necessary.
Kids Cooking Class with Whole Foods Market

Babies, Books & Play
Thursday, April 18 at 10:30
Babies, Toddlers, and their families are invited to join us for a short story time followed by a playtime with the library's collection of toys. No registration is necessary for this program.
Games by Your Side Donation Drive
Throughout April vacation week the library is home to a donation box for Games By Your Side, a program sponsored by two students from East School. 

Donate your old DS or Leapster and your donation will be cleaned and given to South Shore Hospital! Rechargeable game systems must be in working order (but dings and scratches are okay) and please delete any stored information (photos, game scores) before donating,
