From Experience to Impact

From shared meals to shared stories, these recent moments reflect the power of connection, bringing people together to celebrate, support, and create meaningful impact.

Flavour, Energy, and Unforgettable Moments at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa

Throughout March, KoW Connected worked with the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa to host a series of exclusive brunch and dinner experiences for influencers and media at two of the property’s signature dining destinations: Council Oak Steak & Seafood and YOUYU Noodle Bar.

Guests enjoyed indulgent Sunday brunches at Council Oak, featuring fresh seafood, premium cuts, classic breakfast favourites, and decadent desserts. As Henry from The Best Eats 613 shared, he was “really impressed with the quality,” noting how dishes were constantly refreshed and “everything tasted hot,” highlighting the attention to detail behind the experience.

At YOUYU, attendees were immersed in vibrant, chef-driven Asian street food, with bold flavours and shareable plates that quickly became social favourites. As Marilou Moles from 20 York Street noted, “it’s not just the food — it’s the energy, the buzz, the warm hospitality that makes every visit feel like you’re part of the family.”

The experiences sparked strong engagement across social platforms and glowing feedback from guests, further reinforcing Hard Rock Ottawa’s position as one of the city’s most exciting destinations for dining and entertainment.

The Snowsuit Fund Appreciation Breakfast: A Morning of Impact

On April 7, Copper at Andaz Ottawa ByWard Market welcomed donors, partners, and community supporters for The Snowsuit Fund’s Appreciation Breakfast. Supported by KoW Connected, the morning brought together those who make this work possible to reflect on the collective impact of the past season.

Guests heard powerful reflections from past clients, including Fahd Alhattab and Stéphanie Plante, who shared personal stories highlighting the lasting impact The Snowsuit Fund has had on their lives and in the community.

This past season, 21,315 snowsuits were distributed across the region, a meaningful increase from the previous year and a testament to the strength and generosity of this community.

Celebrating Community with Roger Neilson Children’s Hospice

It was a meaningful week with Roger Neilson Children’s Hospice, marked by two special moments that brought the community together in support of children and families.

On April 18, nearly 500 guests gathered for Maddy’s Gala. The sold-out evening blended heartfelt tributes with moments of joy, enhanced by a vibrant Moulin Rouge-inspired theme. A surprise $100,000 gift helped push the gala past an incredible $2 million raised over the years.

On April 21, the hospice marked its 20th anniversary with a heartfelt celebration alongside families, staff, donors, and community leaders. Through shared stories and reflection, the event highlighted two decades of compassionate pediatric palliative, respite, and bereavement care provided at no cost to families.

These moments reflect a community united by care, connection, and a shared commitment to ensuring no family faces a child’s serious illness alone.

Rugby Rematch Tour Returns to Ottawa

Last week, we supported the announcement of an exciting moment for Canadian sport as Rugby Canada officially revealed that Canada’s Women’s Rugby Team will return to Ottawa this October for the Rugby Rematch Tour, presented by Canadian Tire.

Fresh off their silver medal finish at the 2025 Rugby World Cup, the team, currently ranked third in the world, will face top-ranked England in a highly anticipated rematch on home soil. The press conference brought together key voices from across the rugby community, including Mayor Mark Sutcliffe, Rugby Canada leadership, and standout players like team captain Alex Tessier, Sophie De Goede, the 2025 World Rugby Player of the Year, and Olivia Apps.

It was an energizing moment that highlighted the strength of women’s rugby in Canada and the excitement building for this fall’s international showdown in Ottawa.
