Rutherford Public Library
April Newsletter
Happy April, everyone! We have many exciting events coming up at the library this month, and programs are taking place in person and virtually. This month is a great time to stop by and check out some of our newest items as spring begins!

In accordance with current guidelines from the CDC and the State of New Jersey, the library no longer requires patrons and employees to wear face masks while visiting the library or attending library programs. Masks are optional for all patrons and staff. For everyone's safety, we ask that if you are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19, please reschedule your visit until you are feeling better.

If you still feel unsafe entering our building, we continue to offer our Grab & Go door side pickup service. Please fill out the forms online or call us at 201-939-8600 for assistance.

If you do come into the building but are still social distancing, we encourage you to check out items using our MeeScan kiosk or app, which you can do by yourself. For more information, click here.

We want to thank our community again for your support and cooperation as we continue to navigate this time. Thank you for continuing to work with us throughout all these changes, and meeting us wherever we are -- on the screen, through the door, or inside!

Borrow a Wi-Fi Hotspot
The Rutherford Public Library has mobile wi-fi hotspot devices available to borrow. Hotspots provide an Internet connection so you can use your smartphone, tablet or computer without using data. These are great for our patrons (who are Rutherford residents and age 18 and up) who may not have their own internet connection at home or have lost their home connection temporarily, and even for travel throughout the domestic US. Hotspots can be taken out for two weeks at a time. One per household. To reserve a hotspot, click here.
Our Databases page on our website has been renamed the Virtual Reference page, as it has ebooks, news and more in addition to databases. Click here to see what we are offering digitally.
Mango Languages Available Now
Rutherford Library cardholders now have access to Mango Languages, on the library computers and remotely through our website!
