Big Spoon Kitchen and The Blue House are teaming up to bring you brain-fueling snack packs filled with cheese and veggie empanadas, roasted tomato salsa and wood fired tortilla chips, and a sharable chili chocolate smoked maple marshmallow s’more. We're drooling already!
Trivia will be played over Zoom using Kahoot! With Kahoot!, it's everyone for themselves. If you're playing with friends, it's up to you how, and if, you want to collaborate. You could assign one person to answer for the group on a single device or talk it out and submit answers on your own devices. Either way, don't let it slow you down too much! Points are awarded for both accuracy and speed.

What has changed the most in your time in the North Country? I feel more aware about the experiences and struggles that people face in rural areas.

What has stayed the same? I still feel like I’m very much myself despite the time I’ve spent in the North
Country. I have the same interests, hobbies, I gravitate toward the same kinds of people (quirky
“outsider” types), and my sense of humor hasn’t changed.
Favorite song, book, or movie? The Grand Budapest Hotel is one of my favorite movies
What would we find in your refrigerator right now? Eggs, veggies, Monster, and lactose free milk

This month's recommendation may be familiar for some but we continue to be inspired by Leah Penniman's work and words.
For those who didn't get a chance to tune into the North Country Sustainability Day & Green Living Fair's virtual keynote, Leah Penniman spoke on the history of Black farmers in America, our current food system, and how to uproot racism in agriculture.
Leah Penniman is a Black Kreyol farmer, mother, Vodun Manye (Queen Mother), and award-winning food justice activist who has been tending the soil and organizing for an anti-racist food system for over 20 years. Li currently serves as founding Co-Executive Director of Soul Fire Farm in Grafton, New York, a people-of-color led project that works toward food and land justice, which li co-founded in 2010. Li is the author of: "Farming While Black: Soul Fire Farm’s Practical Guide to Liberation on the Land."

Time to venture to your shed and find a new home for those sad shears, pitiful pruners, neglected nippers, tiresome trowels, restless rakes, sorrowful spades, wary weeders, stressed shovels, weeping watering cans.
St. Lawrence University's Seed to Table is hosting a Garden Tool Donation Drive in support of the new campus community garden plots being built in the Permaculture Garden this summer.
All tools need, including hand tools, garden cart, weed wiper, push mower etc.
Every donation will receive a ballot for entry to win a generous fall gift basket with fresh seasonal bounty
The winners of the drawing will be announced end of Sept.
