Lisa Emsbo Mattingly
If you like the labyrinth out back, Lisa had her shovel out for that. She also sits on the Finance Committee for monthly P&L review.
Don Bailey, Carpenter
If you grabbed one of the posts out back to paint, thank Don for cutting and drilling them all. He also sits on the Building Committee and recently oversaw the new new door locks project.
ARTS EDUCATION
Thelma Goldberg and the Dance Inn celebrate their 40th recital this month. FORTIETH. FORTY RECITALS. Let that sink in.

Then teachers are back in the studios for a 7 week spring semester, and summer vacation programs.

Spring semester starts this Monday for painting, drawing, ceramics, theatre, as well as Monday and Friday youth arts/crafts classes.

Registration is open for Lexington School of Ballet’s Summer Intensives and weekly classes.

APRIL VACATION WEEK
Join us for a weeklong class in ceramics or visual arts.

Annual Patriots' Day Parade

Bring your folding chair and set up in our front yard to watch the 2022 Patriots' Day Parade (or if the weather is lousy, step inside and watch it through the gallery windows!)

Parade starts at 2:00 from East Lexington. Check online for events schedule & road closures.
Earth Day

The giant recycling ball is coming back! We will be collecting black plastic take-out containers (not recyclable) from April 22 - May 14.

Painted Posts

The community is invited to be part of the ArtWalk painted post project. Plain wooden posts are available at the MCA, and due to be returned on April 24.

Fairy Homes & Garden Tour

Start your planning now! Anyone interested in making a fairy house for public view can sign up online to have their house put on the tour map.

Mark your calendars for Friday,
May 20 - we will have a blues/rock band and fairy house-making workshop out back (free).
ARTIST SPOTLIGHT
Call for Artists - Cary Memorial Library invites artists to exhibit for the July 2022 to June 2023 period. Application online -- email with questions

Zoe Perry-Wood (MCA Studio 320) celebrates 10 years of having her work chosen for the MassArt Auction, and has work on exhibition through April 10.

Adrienne Sloane (MCA Studio 212) has her work Fated Glory as part of the Fuller Craft Museum permanent collection.

Last year donations helped to bring about scholarships for students in need, more public art projects as well as community programming, and helped us to sustain our current level of staffing.. Thank you! There is never a bad time to support the arts.
