A Word from Supervisor Scialdone

Webster Neighbor:

Webster shows up! Over the past three months as Town Supervisor, I've seen our Webster neighbors participate in local government through office hours, community Q&As, Town Board meetings, and more. It is inspirational to see this involvement—and we need more of it!

One of my guiding tenets as Supervisor is transparency, and through honest discourse, we can make Webster the best it can be. Candid conversations move us forward. Whether they are complimentary or critical, all voices in Webster should have an outlet to be heard.

Over the next few weeks, the Town will be looking to hear from our community through a recently launched News and Information survey. This survey will inform on how our community prefers to receive news and information and help us better cultivate and grow partnerships with our Webster neighbors.

I am eager for continued opportunities to meet residents and learn from their perspectives through conversations, open forums, surveys, and so much more. Please continue to reach out, attend meetings, and seek out ways to participate. You can reach me by email at supervisor@websterny.gov or by phone at 585-872-7068.

Sincerely,

Alex Scialdone, Webster Town Supervisor

Helping Heroes Clean Up Day

Save the date: May 9 at 8:30am

Meet at Webster Recreation Center

Volunteers are needed for the second annual Helping Heroes Spring Clean Up Day. This event honors Tom Smock, a man who was active in Webster's volunteer community. While Tom is greatly missed, Helping Heroes Day gives back the way Tom did: by inspiring others to do the same.

We are looking for people who want to assist with light spring cleanup (raking, weeding, spreading mulch, etc.) in yards around the area, as well as those who need assistance at their homes.

Once all inquiries and volunteers have been established, more information will be sent to participants. Please spread the word and help us continue to honor Tom!

Good News

The Town of Webster officially recognizes Women's History Month

Last month, Supervisor Alex Scialdone and Deputy Supervisor Nick Hunter proudly presented a proclamation in recognition of Women's History Month. Representatives from the Women's Club of Webster were in attendance to accept the signed proclamation, marking the first official acknowledgement of the celebration in the Town of Webster.

Webster honors our region's long history of fighting for women's suffrage and ensuring that the promises of the Constitution apply to all citizens.
