April is Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month

Since 1983, the month of April has been observed as National Child Abuse Prevention Month. In the month of April, we take the time to focus on community awareness, prevention, and sharing the message that all children deserve a safe, happy and healthy childhood.

Preventing child abuse benefits everyone in your community

The Center began offering in-school child sexual abuse prevention services to fulfill the Erin's Law Requirement. Since 2019, the Madison County Child Advocacy Center has to provided prevention education to over 2700 students in Madison County. Prevention education empowers children and caregivers with the necessary tools to keep kids safe.
