CCBA joins the Association of Community College Trustees and colleges nationwide in celebrating Community College Month (#CCMonth) by highlighting the essential role community colleges play in powering America’s workforce and expanding economic opportunity.


Dedicated to bringing baccalaureate attainment opportunities to every student in every community in the nation, CCBA believes "community colleges are the smartest first step — and the strongest next step — toward a future filled with possibility" and supports this movement by providing resources to colleges that are designing, building and sustaining high value, career-focused bachelor's degrees.


In honor of Community College month, we are reminded of our mission to ensure that all people have direct and equitable access to affordable baccalaureate degrees. These CCB graduates remind us why this mission is so important…

We Want Your Promising Practices

CCB Promising Practices are innovative strategies that promote the success of adult and underrepresented learners in community college baccalaureate programs. These practices contribute to opportunities, gainful employment, and numerous positive outcomes for students, their families and communities.


From planning and designing new programs to evaluating and improving existing ones, CCBA's Promising Practices database features proven tools and strategies submitted by colleges from around the nation.


CCBA is now accepting applications for the 2026-27 nomination cycle. Finalists will be published in the searchable Promising Practices database. They are also recognized during the 2027 CCBA National Conference and receive priority for a breakout session.
