April is Earth Month: Celebrate with Land's Sake!

As responsible stewards of the land, Land's Sake uses regenerative farming practices - compost, cover crops, mulch, limited soil disturbance, and no synthetic chemicals - to protect the environment and grow healthier food.

The Farmstand is a hub for local produce and items by local food companies and artisans, reducing our carbon footprint, and supporting the local economy. In April, visit the Farmstand Wednesday through Sunday, 10am-4pm.

Help Bring Farm-Scale Compost to Land's Sake

Land's Sake is building a farm-scale compost system with the help of a generous grant from the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MDAR). Land's Sake needs to raise the final $14,000 needed to fully fund the $60,000 cost of the project. Every donation helps to grow healthy plants that are better for people AND the environment. Friday Family Farm Time in April

Greet the Goats, Flower Pot Painting, and Family Farm Chores

Fridays in April, come join for family-friendly afternoon activities! On 4/11 and 4/25 we have Greet the Goats: a half-hour for feeding, grooming, and playing with our new furry friends. On 4/18 come welcome spring by painting your own flower pot (we provide soil and seeds!) Or, join us for morning family farm chores. 

Registration Open for April Break!

Register your K-12th grader for hands-on outdoor education with as we frolic with the goats, plant seeds, take care of rabbits and chickens, read nature stories, make spring crafts and cook with the best of spring produce. 

T-Shirt Design Contest

Artist must be under 18. Designs due by April 26.

Know an artist under the age of 18? They can design this year's summer program shirt! Designs must be original, farm-themed, and single color. Email submissions by April 26 to education@landssake.org

Field Workshares Needed

Join the Land's Sake Farmers on the field this season as workshares. Help with harvesting, moving heavy bins, and rinsing/weighing produce on Mondays or Fridays, 8am - 12pm.

EVENT

Here's to a Sweet Sugaring Off!

Beautiful weather brought a huge crowd of all ages to celebrate Sugaring Off with a pancake breakfast, marking the end of maple season. Middle school students in the Maple Green Power program enthusiastically explained maple sugaring and guided visitors through the sugar house. Volunteers from the Rotary Club of Wellesley and Weston High School helped make the event a success! You can now pick up Land's Sake's own maple syrup at the farmstand, while supplies last.
