Spring Open House & Second Thursday Networking Joint Event

Join ImageOut and Human Rights Campaign Western & Central NY tonight (Thursday, April 13), 5:30-7:30pm for our Spring Open House & Second Thursday Networking Joint Event at the Village Gate Square Atrium (274 N. Goodman St.).


The event will include: hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar by Madeline’s Catering, sweet treats, music by DJ Brian Buttlet of Juice Box ROC, a Spring Film Festival preview, membership enrollment, merchandise sales, festival pass sales, volunteer signup opportunities, raffles (with items provided by HRC and RGMC), and more! Non-alcoholic beverages are free, courtesy of Madeline's. There are two drink specials with a portion from each benefiting HRC WCNY and ImageOut respectively too!


Accessibility: There are multiple RTS bus route stops in the neighborhood for those using mass transit, including near the corner of University Ave and Goodman St by MAG's Centennial Sculpture Park. There is also paved parking available in the lots beside and behind Village Gate Square, as well as across the street at the corner of Goodman St and College Ave. Street parking may also be available along College Avenue. Elevator access can be found inside the Lento door hallway just through the Village Gate gate or by entering through the back doors and coming through to the front of the complex.

2023 Spring Film Festival Kickoff Party: Join us for an evening of celebration and community, as we toast our third annual Spring Film Festival! Enjoy beer, wine, spirits, and soft drinks at the cash bar. Sample a variety of delicious hors d’oeuvres. Feast your eyes on entertainment from local drag performers Ambrosia Salad, Carmen Adore and Samantha Vega. Plus, it’s your last chance to purchase film tickets and passes before opening night screenings on Friday, April 28!


$5.00 Tickets. Limited capacity. Pre-purchase is highly recommended. Event is included with a Full Festival Pass, but you must still RSVP online separately after pass purchase!

2023 Spring Film Festival Wrap Party: After a long weekend of wonderful films, celebrate the Spring Festival being wrapped… while munching on wraps! Enjoy complimentary sandwich wraps and a cup of coffee or tea, as you “spill the tea” to discuss the films with fellow festival-goers. Plus, a cash bar, kitchen available to order, and ample parking. Outdoor seating available (weather permitting). Lovin’ Cup Open Mic starts at 7:00pm: stay to listen or perform! Join us for a chill Tuesday night!

Special Announcement: For our next ImageOutExtra film program, ImageOut is pleased to present a special live theatre and film screening collaboration, in partnership with our friends at OFC Creations Theatre Center. OFC Creations will present Billy Elliot: The Musical, a live theatrical show with music by Elton John, from May 12-21, 2023 at OFC Creations Theatre Center (3450 Winton Pl.). ImageOut will then screen the film Billy Elliot (2000) on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, 7:00pm at The Little Theatre 1 (240 East Ave.).

A Celebration of Life

for Michael Gamilla

Save the Date! Join ImageOut for A Celebration of Life for Michael Gamilla on Saturday, June 17 at Geva Theatre Center (75 Woodbury Blvd.), as we celebrate, honor and remember our beloved colleague, community member and friend. 12:30pm doors and 1:00pm program with a reception to follow. The event will also be live-streamed for those unable to join in-person. Please stay tuned for additional details in the coming days and weeks.

Honoring Michael's Legacy

In conjunction with Michael's Lifetime Achievement Award last fall, we created The Michael Gamilla Fund to provide underwriting support for our film festival. We're certain that he would want to see LGBTQ+ film continue to thrive in our community, and this is a great way to ensure that.


Those interested can contribute to the Fund in honor of Michael’s legacy and in memory of our beloved dear friend. Checks can be mailed to our office at 274 N. Goodman St., Ste.
