April is Second Chance Month, a time to bring awareness to the challenges that returning citizens face upon re-entering society and to encourage businesses to offer second chances to these returning citizens. Americans with criminal records struggle to find housing, work, and even access to education, making adjusting to modern society increasingly difficult. Employ Prince George’s is proud to partner with businesses whose job openings welcome returning citizens to apply.

In honor of Second Chance Month, EPG will be taking part in programs throughout the month to help our neighbors in Prince George's County looking for a second chance. On Wednesday, April 20, 2022, we are hosting, in partnership with the Bridge Center at Adam's House, the Second Chance Month Job & Resource Fair for returning citizens looking to start their careers with companies and resource partners eager to help with their second chance. This event will be held at the Glenarden Community Center (8615 McLain Avenue, #A, Glenarden, MD 20706). On Saturday, April 30, 2022, Employ Prince George's and the Bridge Center at Adam's House will host the Second Chance Awareness Month Expungement & Resource Fair at Reid Temple A.M.E. Church (11400 Glenn Dale Boulevard, Glenn Dale, MD 20769). Click the links below to register for one or both of these events. We can't wait to see you all there!
