Open House Day is June 4, 2022!
Are you new to GCC, or even new to T1D? Is your kiddo a little nervous about camp?
Here's a low-commitment way to get to know Gales Creek Camp: Open House Day is a casual opportunity to see camp ahead of the summer. New families, veteran families, and all supporters are welcome! Come for a tour, come for the free lunch, or just come to hang out.

Lunch is at noon (and includes veggie and gluten-free options).


This event is June 4, 2022 at Gales Creek Camp and is immediately following Camp Cleanup Day. Families are welcome to participate in that, too. See below.

Also on June 4, we'll once again wake camp up from a long, wet winter.

Click here for a list of jobs. We'll have the supplies ready. Plus we'll have water and snacks, too.

Make sure to wear your work clothes and bring your can-do attitude.

We'll start at 9am sharp and work until about noon. Lunch will be provided and includes veggie and gluten free options!

Thinking about college: a panel of people with experience
This time we're talking about going off to college. Whether your T1D is staying local or thinking about going across the country, we've collected a panel of young adult guests who will talk about these experiences.

Even if your kiddo has a few years before this big step, it's never too early to prepare.

Bring your perspective college student to this one!
This "Hope-mongering" parent support session is April 21 at 7pm hosted on Zoom.
We're looking for summer 2022 camp staff
Staff applications are now available for the 2022 camp season. Spend the summer in the Oregon outdoors having fun & creating lifetime experiences for youth with type 1 diabetes.

Positions available include:
  • Camp Nurse (RN, Board-Eligible)
  • Healthcare Assistant (Student Nurse)
  • Camp Dietitian
  • Nutrition/Kitchen Staff
Financial aid is available to help with camper fees. Ensuring camp fees do not prohibit any child with type 1 diabetes from attending camp is a top priority of Gales Creek Camp Foundation.
