Season 3 of our Artist Unplugged virtual performance series is launching today! Check out our YouTube channel for professional-quality concerts, streamed to the comfort of your home. The first three episodes of our third season will feature the following artists:

Markham Arts Council is back with annual flagship event, the 2021 Arts and Cultural Heritage Celebrations taking place throughout the month of May.

If you're a local visual, performing, or literary artist and would like to showcase your work at ACHC 2021, email us at info@markhamartscouncil.com with a short bio and sample of previous work(s).

Participating artists will be compensated for their contributions.

The Markham Arts Council is a registered non-profit, established in 2004 to enrich the lives of Markham residents through arts and cultural programming and initiatives.

Our mission is to serve the community by providing arts and cultural education by supporting the development of all forms of arts and culture in Markham, thereby enhancing the community’s well-being. We envision a vibrant and inclusive arts and culture scene in Markham.

We are currently accepting applications for our Board of Directors. If you're passionate about promoting and supporting the arts in our local community, we'd love to have you on our team. Please note that this is a volunteer position.

Art Therapy: Let's Art About It
Registration now open!
Let’s Art About It – Art Therapy for Seniors (55+) is a group therapy program that utilizes art-making to combat mental and emotional challenges as a result of the pandemic.

Sign up for these free virtual sessions! Led by a Registered Canadian Art Therapist, participants will express, explore, and understand their emotions through a variety of art exercises and mediums.
