SUNDAY, APRIL 30, 4:30 p.m.
Temple Israel, 600 New Scotland Ave, Albany, NY
The WithOurVoice, Inc. organization, which supports Children at the Well storytelling and the Interfaith Story Circle, is partnering with community leaders to bring storyteller Noa Baum’s show A Land Twice Promised to the Capital Region on Sunday, April 30th, for a crowd-funded community performance.
People are requested to register in advance at this link.
Storytelling is uniquely suited to reach hearts and minds. Noa writes "I tell the human story that stands apart from politics and hope that hearing it will call upon us to listen with compassion without surrendering to prejudice and fear, choose dialogue, and commit to peace."
An Israeli who began a heartfelt dialogue with a Palestinian woman while living in the United States, Noa weaves together their memories and their mothers' stories. She creates a moving testimony illuminating the complex and contradictory history and emotions that surround Jerusalem for Israelis and Palestinians alike.
In lieu of selling tickets, we’ve set up a GoFundMe at this link. Donations are tax deductible and receipts will be sent. Please donate what you'd spend on a wonderful, transformative night of theater. If you can, donate extra so others can experience it, too. If you can't donate right now, please help us spread the word and share this fundraiser with your friends on social media.
Please join us Sunday afternoon, April 30th. See withourvoice.org for additional details.
