Stephen Paez will lead birders through Kendall Indian Hammock Park. Meet at 7:30am at the parking area at the east end of the ballfields. Return is at approximately 11:00am. No fee.
Enchanted Forest Elaine Gordon Park/Arch Creek Park Bird Walk
Saturday, April 16; 7:30-11am
Jim King will lead birders through Enchanted Forest Elaine Gordon Park and adjacent Arch Creek Park. Meet at 7:30am in the Enchanted Forest parking area (1725 NE 135th Street in North Miami). Return is at approximately 11:00am. No fee.
Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden Bird Walk
Sunday, April 17; 7:30-11am
Joe Barros will lead birders through Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens. Meet at 7:30am in the Matheson Hammock parking area adjacent to Fairchild's north entrance. Entrance fee to Fairchild will be waived for TAS members. Return is at approximately 11:00am.
AD Barnes Park Bird Walk (followed by Birdstock!)
Saturday, April 23; 7:30-11am
Bill Boeringer will lead birders through A.D. Barnes Park. Enter on SW 72nd Ave. just north of Bird Rd. (SW 40th St.), turn left at the T intersection and park in spaces on either side of the road. Meet at 7:30am, return is at approximately 11:00am. No fee.
Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park Bird Walk
Sunday, April 24, 8-11am
Robin Diaz will lead birders through Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park on Key Biscayne. The park opens at 8:00am. Participants should meet at No Name Harbor (from the entrance station, take your first right and drive west to the parking area). The walk will begin by 8:15am. Return is at approximately 11:00am. Costs include an entrance fee to the park and the Rickenbacker Causeway toll.
Hugh Taylor Birch State Park / Evergreen Cemetery Birding
Saturday, April 30; 8am-noon
South Florida Audubon Society's Paddy Cunningham invites TAS to join her for a tour of Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, followed by a visit to Evergreen Cemetery in Ft. Lauderdale. The state park's entrance is on Sunrise Blvd., just west of A1A. Meet at 8:00am at the Hammock Trail parking area. Costs include an entrance fee to the park.
Florida Keys and Dry Tortugas Birding (4 spaces left)
Saturday, April 30 (3 days, 2 nights)
Brian Rapoza and Paul Bithorn lead this three-day, two-night van trip through the Florida Keys, including a one-day boat trip to Dry Tortugas National Park. Costs ($895 per person, double occupancy: $150 single supplement) includes two nights hotel in the Key West area, van/gas, park fees and ferry to the Dry Tortugas. Save the Bay & Protect our Drinking Water

TAS and Southern Alliance for Clean Energy (SACE) are collaborating to save Biscayne Bay from the escalating environmental crisis FPL's Turkey Point 3 & 4 nuclear reactors are allegedly causing. Various news media have recently reported on the significant pollution (including tritium) being flushed out through the cooling canal system into nearby surface waters of Biscayne National Park and the critical Biscayne Aquifer, upon which millions of Floridians rely for drinking water. Together with SACE, we've recently taken the first step to demand action by filing a notice of intent to file a Citizen Suit pursuant to the Federal Clean Water Act.

National Water Dance (NWD) is a collective of dance artists and educators. Stretching from coast to coast and from Alaska to Florida, NWD is creating a "movement choir," a simultaneous, site-specific performance of dancers and movers of all ages and experience, to bring attention to the pressing issues threatening US water sources.
National Water Dance believes that our environment is the most urgent issue of this generation and that artists need to take the lead in addressing it. NWD encourages dancers to use their bodies to create a community that cries out for action.
