... for so generously supporting "South Florida's Voice of Conservation." The Miller family assures Tropical Audubon's environmental and event messaging is regularly broadcast across its family of Community Newspapers, both in print and electronically.

From Aventura to Cutler Bay, Miami's Community Newspapers endeavor to connect the birds with the bees. "Once our readers understand how interconnected all systems in a community are, they are more willing to contribute," says Amy Livergood Donner, the publication's director of advertising.  "That's our role -- connect and then contribute. For that reason, we are delighted to support Tropical Audubon Society with editorial and donated advertising space."

Pick up a free copy of your neighborhood's
Community Newspaper  at your bank, coffee shop or post office. Or advertise your goods or services on its pages. More than any other local medium,  Miami's Community Newspapers  help TAS cultivate conservation through community!

Supporting those vendors who support TAS is an easy way to contribute to our Mission.

Take Action:
Save the Bay & Protect our Drinking Water

biscayne bay fpl Paul Marcelini TAS and Southern Alliance for Clean Energy (SACE) are collaborating to save Biscayne Bay from the escalating environmental crisis FPL's Turkey Point 3 & 4 nuclear reactors are allegedly causing. Various news media have recently reported on the significant pollution (including tritium) being flushed out through the cooling canal system into nearby surface waters of Biscayne National Park and the critical Biscayne Aquifer, upon which millions of Floridians rely for drinking water. Together with SACE, we've recently taken the first step to demand action by filing a notice of intent to file a Citizen Suit pursuant to the Federal Clean Water Act.

Please add your voice to this critical issue by signing the petition below and circulating it. Even if you are not a Florida resident, your signature is relevant because a National Park is at risk. P lease engage your colleagues, friends and family as well. Freely use the attached graphic and all the other links to facilitate your outreach.

A simultaneous, dance event from sea-to-shining sea.

National Water Dance _ Deering Estate
National Water Dance _ Deering Estate
National Water Dance (NWD) is a collective of dance artists and educators. Stretching from coast to coast and from Alaska to Florida,  NWD is creating a "movement choir," a simultaneous, site-specific performance of dancers and movers of all ages and experience, to bring attention to the pressing issues threatening US water sources.

National Water Dance believes that our environment is the most urgent issue of this generation and that artists need to take the lead in addressing it. NWD encourages dancers to use their bodies to create a community that cries out for action.

"It's about reconnecting our sense of self and soul with our waterways and oceans."
Celine Cousteau, granddaughter of Jacques Cousteau
