In just three days, on Friday May 1, 2015, the ACRL, the Detroit Branch NAACP, and the Freedom Institute Justice Award Tribute event will take place. This invitation-only event will occur during Freedom Weekend. The awardees of the event will be the Honorable Victoria Roberts of the Eastern District of Michigan federal court and Barbara McQuade, the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan. This event is co-chaired by Kathleen McCarthy, Chief Judge of the Wayne County Family Court Division, and District Judge Linda Parker of the Eastern District of Michigan federal court. WXYZ News Editorial Director Chuck Stokes will be the emcee for the event.
