Is it too early to even use the word "unity" when emotionally we are drained and angry?
It's a good issue for you and me to take up now with the indwelling Holy Spirit. Old patterns, old sin residue has probably surfaced with the news of this horrific invasion of Israel and now ongoing war in Gaza. It's a good time to remove those old filters, and pursue the holiness Yeshua calls us to through His Fruit of the Holy Spirit.
One example of unity in the Holy Spirit is taking place in Nazareth. Pastor Saleem Shalash in the Home of Jesus the Kings Church, held a unity gathering in Jerusalem at the garden tomb and continues to minister to all in Nazareth today. the land of Israel is currently reeling from the horrific massacre inflicted upon the Israeli communities around Gaza, and we as the church are engaging in constant prayer for the nation's healing and restoration. This is also the time for us as the church to stand up, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and to shine the light of Christ into the darkness and to do good, as the Lord instructed. This word from the ICEJ Director, Dr. Buehler, is insightful:
This attack is without a doubt rooted in the demonic realm as a manifestation of the Spirit of Amalek (see Exodus 17:8ff, Deuteronomy 25:17; 1 Samuel 30:3; Esther 3:1 & 8). This is the time when the Church is called to ascend to our spiritual vantage point and join in battle, just as Moses prayed while Joshua was fighting Amalek on the ground! This is even the time to call for an Esther Fast to approach the throne of God on behalf of His beloved people.
Brothers and sisters, it is imperative for the global Body of Christ to stand with Israel and its people. Our professions of love and support alone will not do it anymore! It is the time for action! There are three ways you can support Israel today:
1) Prayer! You can do so by joining our daily Global Prayer Gatherings at 4:00 PM (Israel time). You will join a worldwide army of Christian leaders and intercessors, and receive daily updates on the critical situation on the ground here in Israel. 2) Support! If you are a denominational leader, pastor or ministry leader, now is the time to dedicate your next Sunday offering to Israel and to mobilize your network. Time is essential! We have been asked to assist in the evacuation of entire communities around the Gaza Strip. The ICEJ is establishing temporary refugee centers around Jerusalem, to care for evacuees. We also are helping to provide food, clothing and other supplies to those who lost their homes and were forced to flee their communities. In addition, we are in contact with Israeli pastors to assist the needy in their flocks. And we have been approached to provide food, clothing and even protective vests to IDF reservists called to the battle front. 3) Show solidarity! Organize pro-Israel solidarity rallies and marches in your home towns and capitals. These demonstrations are already taking place around the world, but in many cases there are few Christians attending. Enthusiasm also can wane quickly. Again, the Church needs to take a stand at this hour! Please help Israel by showing public support for her within your own communities and nations. Also urge your parliamentarians and other government officials to affirm their stand with Israel. We covet your prayers and I look forward to hearing from you.

In the midst of this surprise attack on Israel, during a holy celebration, the LORD is in control and can turn all that is wicked to good. He will always prevail.
" When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him. The Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,' says the LORD. 'As for Me,' says the LORD, 'this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants' descendants,' says the LORD,' from this time and forevermore.'"

Let's Pray: Almighty God awaken all to Your gift of repentance. Israel is Your Land and Your Chosen People. May its leaders have Your Wisdom in defeating this attack. Turn all that is evil to Your good. Please pour out Your wisdom for Israel’s leaders. Protect those who are protecting and defending Israel. Protect the citizens of Israel from violence and destruction. Even during this war, may the tragedy open minds and hearts, on both sides, to find You, to enter Your Kingdom, and receive through Your Holy Spirit Your peace that passes all understanding. We pray In Yeshua/Jesus' Holy Name, the Name above all names, Amen and Amen.
