Arboretum News

Greetings!

More and more winter birds are arriving at CHA. An Eastern Towhee and Winter Wren are two that graced us with their presence earlier this week. This is no surprise as the feeders are out, filled, and definitely inviting for a variety of species. While the hummingbird feeder is retired for the season, the house, tube, platform, and suet feeders have taken its place. Filled with a variety of seeds rich in valuable fats, our feeders are all set for FeederWatch beginning on November 1, 2025. If you are interested in learning more about Project FeederWatch and how you can get involved, let us know!

Additionally, we are asking community members for donations of some specific supplies for a future project. If you have empty gallon milk jugs or old, clean newspaper, please consider dropping them off at the Arboretum any day between 9am-4pm. Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

CHA Staff
