AHS Financial Aid Night
October 29th, 6:00 pm, Mt Olympus

We will be having a Financial Aid Night hosted by our friends in the Financial Aid office at ASU. While they are from ASU, they are here to give a general presentation explaining how the FAFSA and Financial Aid works at colleges and the benefit of completing the FAFSA. This is beneficial for all, not just those planning on attending ASU. Last year the presentation was extremely informative and the feedback I received back from parents and families was incredibly positive. While it is not required to sign up in order to attend, I am asking that you do so we know how many people to expect. Please sign up on your  Naviance account, or send me an email. This event is open for all students and families.
Senior Information
Did you know there is a special section JUST FOR YOU on the AHS website? All the dates and information you need for your senior's last year is updated there.

Selective College Panel for SUSD Students
Tuesday, October 23, 2018, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Chaparral High School Auditorium
  • Panel will consist of local alumni interviewers from Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT, Stanford, Dartmouth and Duke University.
  • The program is most beneficial to underclassmen since gaining admission to a selective college increasingly involves a commitment on the part of the student from early on in their high school career.
  • For parents and high school students, there are a lot of questions to ask: Is it worth pursuing acceptance by a selective college? Can I afford it? What will it take for me to gain admission?
  • This panel is intended as an open discussion to help answer these and other questions.
