Week 18 -  December 5th, 2018
AHS Holiday Boost
Donate gift cards for families in need in AHS Office
During this holiday season many of our Arcadia families struggle with basic needs, such as food.  We would like to assist our under served families by helping them with $25 gift cards to local grocery stores, such as, Target, Walmart, Fry's, Food City and Safeway.

Donations will be accepted in the front office throughout the month.  Sonia Otero-Hanley, Arcadia Community Specialist, will asses family needs and distribute.  Questions, please contact  sotero-hanley@susd.org.  Thank you for your generosity and making this holiday season brighter!

Resource Fair
December 14th during lunch
While this time of year is often very bright and cheery for most, it is not always the case for everyone.  In an attempt to prepare all students and their families for finals and the upcoming break, Arcadia High School will be hosting its second resource fair on December 14 during lunch! This event is organized by Teen Lifeline, but will include several different agencies around the valley including Banner Behavioral Health, Aurora Behavioral Health, Crisis Response, Glsen, and many others

The purpose of this event is to offer information and resources to both students and parents at Arcadia to insure a safe and happy holiday season for all. It will be a great opportunity to learn more and ask questions regarding mental health, substance abuse concerns, and teen suicide awareness. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact Mandy Turner, the school social worker.

The Wrestlers came out strong and represented Arcadia well with several pins by several Titans and many point decisions as well. This was the only home match this year, but the plans are to host several more next year...with the hopes of getting our own Wrestling Mats to accomplish this goal.
