The Hairy Dog
Open Tuesday - Saturday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
Located at 24th St & Indian School

When we founded The Hairy Dog, we wanted to be different and stand out from the rest. We wanted to be cleaner, more accommodating and provide a fun and relaxing experience for you and your dog.  We also wanted to be absolutely  transparent in the price our customers pay for top quality, full service grooming.

Unlike other businesses, we wanted to avoid a model that basically boils down to the time it takes to groom a dog.  We didn't want our groomers rushing through grooms so they could get to the next one because when you emphasize being fast over being good - that's what you get - a fast cut.

We wanted each dog to get the care, time and attention they needed.  We knew we could do better.

Our initial pricing was based on blocks of time, which matched certain characteristics of your dog.  This succeeded in being able to provide transparent pricing, but all the options confused many people.   If our customers don't understand exactly what they are getting, we feel that it's just as bad as making them feel that they are getting something they are not.

Snapraise Fundraiser - Nearly Completed
The Arcadia Media Comm students, under the direction of ANN/Film Instructor Eric Luse, are continuing their Snap-Raise campaign through the first week of February to raise funds for students travelling to and competing in the Student National TV/Film Competition in Nashville in March, and the purchase of much needed new equipment for the ANN and Film Programs. The students are trying to raise $5,000 or more - thanks to all the supporters to date. The campaign is in the home stretch and needs YOUR HELP to reach the students' goal. If you receive an email from a Media Comm student, please consider making a donation in any amount. And even if you don't receive an email from a Media Comm student, please consider making a donation to the program in any amount. This project will allow the students to raise money without selling product, saving more time for study & classroom instruction. Hopi Colonial Day
Hopi celebrated their annual 5th Grade Colonial Day. Hopi s tudents and our wonderful 5th grade teachers dressed the part in Colonial style and tried their talents at quilting, candle making, and dancing. Students were locked in the stocks for crimes like stealing their neighbors hog and working on the Sabbath. Students played Blind Man's Bluff, Tug-of-War, and Marbles like the children of the time. It was another wonderful day fun of fun and learning, as only Hopi & it's parents can do!
