Join notMYkid for a candid conversation about trends facing our high school students. We will cover hot topics of concern connected to the latest gateway drug trends and the deep connections it has to popular social media apps.

We will provide every parent in attendance with prevention tools that address warning signs of use, conversation starters and practical tips on how to implement an effective family prevention plan.

Arcadia BLOWS Tissue Drive

Our students need to blow their noses, all day - every day.  And that requires a lot of tissues!! The month of February we encourage you to purchase tissues and drop them off in the front office to be distributed to our classrooms.  Bring a bundle or bring just one box, all tissues are needed.  Keep Arcadia germ free!!

Project Graduation

Graduation Video - Photos Needed!
Project Grad is putting together a video that will play during graduation night at Cracker Jax and our goal is to have every senior in it. We are asking senior parents to email photos that they would like in the video.

What we are looking for:
1. High quality, size not reduced or cropped
2. Group photos, photos with more than one or two students in them: clubs, teams, extracurricular activities, parties, etc
3. Every student in the photo must be identified.
4. Every student in the photo must be a senior.
5. Please do not email more than two at a time.
AHS Social Worker Needs Snacks
Our great new AHS Social Worker, Mandy Turner, spoke at the AHS PTO Meeting this past week. SEE VIDEO HERE
Part of how she gets kids to open up to her is to FEED THEM ... but we all know how much teens eat ... and she needs our help. If you have any extra snacks or water (ANYTHING), she would be so grateful!

Travel Club
Southeast Asia Summer Trip - May 30th to June 10th*
Mr. Martens will be taking the AHS Travel Club on its 9th educational trip this summer to Vietnam, Cambodia, & Thailand. Travelers must be an Arcadia student at the time of the trip and have a passport. College X-ing is hosting a FREE SAT/ACT/PSAT Open House at  6617 N Scottsdale Rd. #202 Scottsdale, AZ 85250.
All students and parents are welcome to attend. Come meet our advisors and have your questions answered about your student's testing. Coffee and bagels will be provided.

February 26th & 27th
SUSD offers Juniors (only) the opportunity to take the ACT  FREE OF CHARGE this year during the school day on Feb 26th & 27th.
Not only is this national standardized test a college entrance exam which will benefit all students, but results will help SUSD evaluate itself compared to the nation. Please encourage your 11th grader to take part in this wonderful opportunity. Visit  www.act.org to learn more.

The Arcadia Boys Soccer Team made it to the Sweet 16 for the State Soccer Championships, but had their amazing season stopped short last Wednesday night by talented No. 2 Independence (who will play in the State Semi-Finals this week). This four-week event will feature up to 12 tiny home and garden structure plus various elements of living small in the Southwest, including micro-gardening, micro-art and micro-brews.
