The Hairy Dog
When we founded The Hairy Dog, we wanted to be different and stand out from the rest. We wanted to be cleaner, more accommodating and provide a fun and relaxing experience for you and your dog. We also wanted to be absolutely transparent in the price our customers pay for top quality, full service grooming.

Unlike other businesses, we wanted to avoid a model that basically boils down to the time it takes to groom a dog.  We didn't want our groomers rushing through grooms so they could get to the next one because when you emphasize being fast over being good - that's what you get - a fast cut. We wanted each dog to get the care, time and attention they needed. We knew we could do better.

AZmerit Testing
April 2nd - 13th
9th - 11th Graders

     - School ID
    - Ear buds/headphones (no Bluetooth) During the testing session, all electronic devices for both students and teachers inside the testing rooms will need to be completely POWERED OFF. We need to make sure that the Wi-Fi is used completely for the online testing process.
Results help determine how students are performing relative to their peers.
FOR AHS TEACHERS?   Every teacher on campus has their SB 1040 required Teacher Classification tied to these tests.
FOR ARCADIA?   Student Growth Scores are a large portion of Arcadia's A-F letter grade. No matter what a student's score is, he/she can help Arcadia.

The results are calculated both by end score & by growth. Student growth helps, no matter what the end score may be. Therefore, ALL students efforts help.
  • DOES IT REALLY MATTER? YES! It matters very much to Arcadia High School. The scores & growth go into determining Arcadia's A-F grade. Currently, we have a "C", but we can get it up to a B, and eventually an A.
  • WHEN DO WE GET SCORES? Not for a few months.

Kerry Taylor sets sights high, ushers in new day for AHS football
from Scottsdale Independent on 3/23/18

Over the past three years the Arcadia football team has had three different head coaches, but many players think the newest installment in the recently-changing position is the right fit.  Kerry Taylor takes over an Arcadia High School program that hasn't won a game since Sept. 30, 2016, and allowed opponents to outscore it 469-29 in 2017. He also comes in to replace Tony Stillings, who spent one year leading the team before resigning.  READ MORE >>
