Tips for Online Learning
  • TRY TO CREATE A SCHEDULE
    • Create a consistent daily routine. Set expectations about getting up, getting dressed and eating breakfast.
    • Build a study schedule that includes breaks.
    • Hold yourself accountable by creating goals.

  • LIMIT DISTRACTIONS
    • Limit social media, YouTube, TV, Video Games, etc.

  • STAY ORGANIZED
    • Create to-do lists.
    • Create a dedicated study space that is free of distraction.
    • Tackle the hard work first.
  • COMMUNICATE WITH TEACHERS
    • Stay connected with your teachers.
    • Ask for help.  Let teachers know if you don't understand something. They won't know unless you share.
    • Attend ZOOM meetings, even if you don't think you need help. It will keep you connected & answer questions you didn't you know had.

  • STAY CONNECTED WITH CLASSMATES
    • Create online study groups when appropriate.
    • Call, text, video chat with your friends and classmates as well!

  • MOVE & RELAX
    • It's important to move your body and get outside!  Try and do your best to get outside (while respecting public safety guidelines) to refresh your mind with some sunshine & fresh air.
    • Get a good night's sleep.
    • Remember that everyone is in this with you, students, parents, teachers, and more. Be patient with everyone + YOURSELF!

PTO Executive Board Positions for 2020-21
President Elect Open
The PTO is looking for volunteers to join the Executive Board for next year!  Job descriptions are available at  www.arcadiapto.org. It is a great way to get involved and support our amazing teachers!  Contact Linda Schlenker for more information at  advisor@arcadiapto.org or 602-576-3828.
Committee Chair Positions Open for 2020-2021

Project Graduation  - Help the graduating senior class celebrate their success with a fun filled, exciting evening at Cracker Jax.  Project Grad is an Arcadia tradition that we have had for years so most aspects are already in place, but an event this big needs a chairperson to coordinate everything for the next class.

Hospitality - Provide refreshments at school functions such as General PTO meetings and Principal Coffees. Commitment is 3-4 times per school year.

If you are available to help out on a committee or would like some additional information please contact Jessica Horonenko at  volunteers@arcadiapto.org.
