Week 36 -  April 25th, 2018
School Closed Thursday
Message from SUSD as of April 23rd, 2018
After careful consideration of the impact of teacher walkouts on our students and schools, SUSD has made the difficult decision to close all campuses starting Thursday, April 26 and for the duration of the walkout. The District has worked closely with our schools and determined we will not have enough staff to guarantee the safe supervision of all students. We are working on Frequently Asked Questions documents for both staff and families and will post that information CLICK HERE.

With teacher walkout looming, AIA moving forward with HS state tournaments
Arizona Interscholastic Association Executive Director David Hines said, even with a  teachers' walkout looming Thursday, spring sports state tournaments will go on as scheduled.
The questions are:
- Will coaches who teach and walkout be able to continue leading their teams?
- Will schools and school districts allow them to participate?
- Will it impact school transportation to state events?
"It's a decision they have to make," Hines said. "We support teachers. But we have contracts we're obligated to." READ MORE >>
