Archaeologists Dig East Haddam!
Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 7:00 PM
Join EHHS for this fascinating presentation by Dr. Sarah Sportman, CT State Archaeologist, about the archaeological dig at the Two Wrasslin' Cats Coffee House site.

Connecticut’s newest Paleoindian site at 374 Town Street was identified in 2020 by an avocational archaeologist drinking coffee in the backyard of Two Wrasslin’ Cats. He looked down and spotted a piece of stone tool-making debris on the ground. This discovery began a series of archaeological investigations on the coffee shop grounds as more artifacts, dated 10,000 - 13,000 years ago, were uncovered. Archaeological sites from this time period are relatively rare.

Co-sponsored with Two Wrasslin' Cats, this event is free for members and children under 12, with a suggested donation of $5.00 for non-members.
