A long standing athletic tradition continues to attract top athletes to Archbishop Carroll.
Through participation in athletics at Archbishop Carroll High School, student athletes learn loyalty, pride, integrity, and commitment. The goal is to promote lifelong fitness, provide opportunities for good sportsmanship and growth, show the benefits of hard work, dedication, and continuous practice, and for students to simply have fun.

Archbishop Carroll participates in the 3A-5A level of the PIAA (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletics Association). Our Interscholastic athletic program is an integral part of the total education and growth experience at our Catholic high school. Athletics affirm and promote Catholic values and engage student-athletes fully in mind, body and spirit.

ACHS Athletic Director, Thomas Quintois
Thomas J. Quintois is serving his third year as Archbishop Carroll's Athletic Director.

Quintois has high expectations for Carroll’s student-athletes and coaches. “I want our programs to win,” he said. “We need to be of high character on and off the field. It is very important to me for our program to be engaged spiritually, which is part of our culture at Carroll, and to give back to the community.”

In fact, Mr. Quintois was recently inducted into the Wayne Rotary last month as a way to connect our school and himself into our local community. He has established the first ever Interact Club at Archbishop Carroll High School where members have fun pursuing their sport, while carrying out service projects and learning about the world. Mr. Quintois is excited to introduce our students to the experience of being a Rotarian.

Quintois has extensive experience in high school athletics as an administrator and coach. He was Athletic Director at Souderton Area School District (2003-15) where he supervised 30 varsity teams and 100 staff members. He has also served as men’s and women’s soccer coach for 10 years. Additionally, he coached Men’s Soccer at Ursinus College and was a United States Youth Soccer Association Region 1 coach. He currently coaches the Girls' Soccer team at Carroll.

"Athletics are the front porch to our school attracting great student athletes to Carroll. Mr. Quintois is an outstanding athletic director that supports all our sport programs enthusiastically and encourages every student to get involved," said President Francis E. Fox '77.
Archbishop Carroll Athletics: #LeaveYourLegacy
Derrick Jones '15 returned to campus in September, to be interviewed by the Miami Heat and Fox News Miami about his upbringing and the impact Carroll had on his journey. While at Carroll, Derrick met with Coach Paul Romanczuk '95. Coach Romanczuk has served 14 seasons as the Head Boys' Basketball Coach amassing more program wins than anyone in Carroll's history. Derrick also met with Joe DeBarberie '73, co-chair of Carroll's Hall of Fame Committee, and Archbishop Carroll President Frank Fox '77.
